DNA Laboratory Supervisor

This mid-management position functions as the technical leader and is accountable for the technical operations of the DNA laboratory.  The position will oversee the establishment and operations of a regional DNA laboratory.

Qualifications: 

Three years recent experience in a forensic DNA laboratory where forensic DNA testing was conducted for the identification and evaluation of biological evidence in criminal matters, including experience as a qualified analyst on forensic samples.  One year experience in managing and overseeing the day to day operation of a laboratory.  Previous experience in laboratory design and quality assurance/auditing is desirable.  Completion of a Master’s degree from an accredited college with an emphasis in biology, chemistry, forensic science or a closely related field, including at least 12 semester units (or equivalent credit hours) in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, statistics or population genetics.  Must currently have or will successfully complete the FBI-sponsored auditor training within one year of appointment.  Must currently have or will successfully complete an FBI-sponsored CODIS class within six months of appointment.

$7,403 - $9,172 per month
