FORENSIC SCIENTIST

East Texas Baptist University seeks to fill a full-time position in Forensic Science, beginning October, 2010.  The position will involve setting-up and operating a forensic laboratory, teaching introductory courses in biology or chemistry, and working closely with the biology and chemistry faculty to set-up and implement weekly laboratory exercises.  Additional duties will include grading lab reports, maintaining attendance and grade records, management of lab supplies, routine maintenance on lab equipment, and providing assistance with student research projects.

Qualifications: 

A master’s degree and experience in forensic science is required, and teaching experience at the undergraduate level is also desired.  Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic rigor and teaching, the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues, an appreciation for Christian higher education, and must demonstrate a personal Christian faith.  ETBU faculty members are expected to participate in the life of the University via faculty meetings/workshops and by participating in/attending student activities and events.
