Assistant Professor of Chemistry: Forensic Chemistry (Tenure-Track)

The position will start in August 2012.  Teaching responsibilities will include lower level organic/biochemistry courses as well as courses related to forensic chemistry. Student advisement and service to the department, school, and university are expected.  The successful candidate will also be expected to start a research program appropriate for participation by undergraduate students. 

The candidate will also be expected to participate in the development of a Forensic Chemistry concentration for the chemistry major at Shepherd University.

Qualifications: 

A Ph.D. in Chemistry is required. 

Preferred qualifications include:

- Expertise in both forensic chemistry and bio-organic chemistry.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level.
- Postdoctoral experience.
- Experience with mentoring research for undergraduate students.
