Major Responsibilities:
Teach 12 credits per semester (fall and spring) in the undergraduate program of Forensic Science, with opportunities to teach in the summer, and integrated learning courses. On-line teaching may be required.

Instruct courses, and laboratory activities, in several of the following areas: basic forensic sciences, fingerprints, bloodstain pattern analysis, trace and impression evidence, arson and explosives, forensic DNA analysis, forensic anthropology, and topics related to evidence documentation, crime scene processing, and recovery/reconstruction.

Advise undergraduate students and supervise student research.

Serve on faculty governance and university committees.

Participate in program assessment and development.

Provide service to the program, university, profession, and community.

Develop and maintain relations with state and regional organizations.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a master’s in Forensic Sciences or a related field along with experience in crime scene investigation; a PhD is preferred.

Applicant must have demonstrated success in teaching a broad spectrum of undergraduate courses both face-to-face and online.
