Assistant Professor of Forensic Science

The College of Criminal Justice is conducting a search for a forensic science faculty position within the FEPAC-accredited Master of Science in Forensic Science (MSFS) Program.

Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in the diverse programs administered by the College of Criminal Justice.

A successful candidate must be able to develop and teach graduate-level courses in mainstream forensic science disciplines (forensic chemistry and/or forensic biology), pursue a sustained research agenda, supervise graduate student research and actively participate in the continuous development of forensic science programming at SHSU.

Qualifications: 

Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a doctoral degree in a forensic science specialty, criminalistics, chemistry, biology or a related natural science.

Although not required, candidates with experience in an applied forensic science setting are encouraged to apply.
