Position Objectives

The primary objective of this position is to manage the development and delivery of all training materials associated with the HID Professional Services global projects. In addition, this person will be responsible for the delivery of some portion of these trainings to our customers.

Essential Functions:

Contribute to the success of the HPS business through the management of all training activities associated with validation projects around the world. This will include the development of professionally created and globally consistent training materials developed from the comprehensive validation reports generated during the course of a validation project. The candidate will also be responsible for the delivery of some of these trainings in conjunction with other HPS team members. The candidate will also be responsible for the long term development of next generation training materials through the use of new media tools and strategies for alternative training methods for remote learning. The candidate will collaborate closely with HPS senior managers in the development of the content, visuals, and format of the training materials.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have served as a DNA Analyst for at least 3 years in an accredited forensics laboratory. In addition, the ideal candidate will have had at least 3 years experience in training forensic scientists on the theoretical and practical elements associated with Human Identification using DNA. Having served as a Technical Leader will be a plus.

Candidate will be very customer focused and be driven to understand the HID markets, trends, and competitors. Candidate will contribute to the goals of both the HPS organization and the HID business through tenacity, creativity, and scientific and professional excellence. Candidate will report to the Director, HID Validation and Professional Services. 

Minimum education: B.S. degree in the life sciences, M.S. preferred. 

Business Justification:

The HID Professional Services team continues to expand its operations on a global scale. The continued growth of the business and the requirement for extensive training at the conclusion of each project requires that an individual be hired who focuses exclusively not only on the current training requirements but also to develop forward looking materials and vehicles for training that involve web-based as well as other interactive tools for learning.
