Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform Chemical analysis and identification of explosives and drug samples
- Differentiate trace explosive signatures from contamination and background
- Provide information to assist in profiling and signature analysis
- Maintain and document chain of custody of items and data
- Perform explosive analyst
- Utilize ion analysis, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectrometry, and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry
