Our staff pathologists benefit from faculty appointments in the Drexel University College of Medicine, including online library access to eJournals.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing reports of deaths received from hospitals, private physicians, and police and determining jurisdiction of cases

Determining the need for postmortem examination and orders bodies removed to the office of the medical examiner

Directing the activities of autopsy technician in preparing bodies for autopsy

Candidates must, at a minimum, be eligible for board certification in anatomic and forensic pathology. Fellows who are about to complete their forensic pathology training in June will also be considered. Salary is non-negotiable and is dependent on board certification status and years of experience in forensic pathology, as these factors determine the job classification into which the candidate is hired (Pathologist 1, Pathologist 2, or Assistant Medical Examiner).
