Bring Your Own Slides

by Megan Leggett, BS

Is there an interesting forensic case that you have worked on that you love to tell your friends and colleagues about? Have you run across an unusual case that could be educational or entertaining for others to hear? Whatever the topic may be, we would love to hear about it at this year's Bring Your Own Slides session at the Young Forensic Scientists Forum.

Whether you're a student or a young professional, the BYOS session is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience in speaking at meetings without all of the pressure of a strict scientific forum. We welcome all interested parties to speak for approximately 10 minutes, using fun visual aids (no boring charts, etc.). The preferred media form is PowerPoint, but we can also accommodate overheads and 35 mm slides.

If you are interested, please contact Megan Leggett at Leggett_m@msn.com, or Amy Price at (540) 561-6600 or aprice@dfs.state.va.us. We prefer that you sign up before the Chicago meeting (the sooner the better), but walk-ins may also be accepted at the conference. We look forward to seeing you there!
