Young Forensic Scientists Forum Newsletter - September 2001 The
Young Investigator Award From The National Alliance for Research on
Schizophrenia and Depression |
| The National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression is a not-for-profit organization representing a broad coalition of citizens and professionals, formed in an effort to increase substantially private funding of highly innovative research, and to nurture the development of scientific talent through funding of attractive research career development. Since 1987, NARSAD has awarded over $112 million through its three award programs to scientists conducting neurobiological research. The largest of these programs, The Young Investigator Award, is designed to extend already initiated research training and to facilitate the successful transition of young investigators to independent status. These young investigators work with an established investigator in the basic of clinical sciences in schizophrenia, major affective disorders, or other serious neurobiological disorders. Full information about NARSAD can be obtained from their Web site at www.NARSAD.org. |
