| This is a special
announcement for Student members of the Physical Anthropology Section. The deadline for
submissions to receive the J. Lawrence Angel Award is closing in! The abstract submission
deadline for the 1999 AAFS Annual Meeting is August 1, 1998. The application deadline for
the award is January 18, 1999. Remember, you must be the one and only author on the project you submit. You may submit either an oral or a poster abstract for evaluation. The project must be accepted for presentation at the 1999 AAFS Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Each participant will receive $200 and the winner will receive a nice plaque and a monetary award.
