FSF Lucas Research Grants
by Diane France, PhD

The Forensic Sciences Foundation, Inc. (FSF), is the research and education arm of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. To this end, the FSF offers Lucas Research Grants in support of the early stages of the research of AAFS members (including Student and Trainee Affiliate members).

In order to apply for a Lucas Research Grant, please submit the following, in brief format:

  1. A short (about one page) proposal of your research,
  2. An estimate of the costs and the amount for which you are applying,
  3. An estimate of the time table in which the research will be conducted,
  4. How the results will be presented, and
  5. Your Curriculum Vitae.

Please submit your proposal to FSF Lucas Research Grant Committee Chairman Abel Dominguez, in care of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, by June 1, 1999. Proposals will be considered and the recipients selected by September 1999. Average grants vary from $300 to $500.

You are encouraged to apply!
