GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To be responsible for the supervision and operation of a forensic laboratory within the Rhode Island State Police Forensic Services Unit. Responsible for performing standardized laboratory tests and examinations; providing courtroom testimony; and routing biological and chemical analysis and tests; and other duties as required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Forensic Science. Master’s degree in one of these fields preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three years full time work experience in an ISO 17025 accredited forensics / crime laboratory in a responsible capacity involving the making of complex forensic examinations and full competence as a forensic analyst.
$74,438.00 - $84,265.00 Annually.
