The General Section Will Do Things a Little Differently at the February Conference …

For those General Section members coming to Orlando, note there will not be a General Section lunch or speaker this year. In recent years, the cost of the luncheon has steadily increased, and participation steadily declined. So instead of continuing that trend, the General Section will do an informal meet-and-greet on Wednesday starting at 1:00 p.m., then move into the business meeting at 2:00 p.m. Section leadership and Committee Chairs will be present and this will be a chance for members to meet the Chairs and look for volunteer opportunities, as well as meet other General Section members. We hope to have some desserts and coffee/tea, but will see how the budget works out. Please plan on attending the 1:00 p.m. meet-and-greet as well as the 2:00 p.m. General Section Business Meeting.

Also, for the 2023 conference, the General Section will hold a joint reception with the new Forensic Nursing Science Section. This allows us to pool funds for the reception and have some social time with the wonderful nurses who were so recently part of the General Section.
