National Forensic Science Week, formed in recognition of the important role that proper forensic science plays in the investigation of crimes throughout the nation, is September 17-23, 2023.

To celebrate this important recognition, the Journal of Forensic Sciences (JFS) leadership has compiled a virtual issue titled The Path Forward – Forensic Sciences Response to the National Academies of Sciences Report 2009.

In this JFS Virtual Issue, outstanding articles have been selected to illustrate how JFS has been an important vehicle in helping the forensic science community to reach the goals of the NAS report and its recommendations.

The JFS Virtual Issue is available at: The Path Forward – Forensic Sciences Response to the National Academies of Sciences Report 2009

The JFS leadership is excited about this new JFS Virtual Issue, and to it serving as our contribution to acknowledge and celebrate National Forensic Science Week.
