No Podium Necessary—2024 Poster Sessions

Source: Marla E. Carroll, BS, Poster Sessions Chair

The overall purpose and objective statement for the AAFS Poster Section Scientific Sessions is the exact same as for the Oral Section Scientific Sessions: to provide an opportunity for presentation and discussion of case reports, descriptive studies, review presentations, research, administrative issues, and investigative/diagnostic methods regarding topics and issues of importance to a primary discipline among the forensic sciences. The 2024 Poster Sessions will be held Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the Exhibit Hall. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. each day; presenting authors will be available for discussion from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Top 5 Reasons to attend Poster Sessions:

  1. Engage directly with the researcher/presenter.
  2. No 10-20 minute time constraint.
  3. Provide direct and valuable feedback regarding research and presentation techniques.
  4. Concessions are open in the Exhibit Hall. Lunch and learn at the same time.
  5. Support young forensic scientists. YFSF has over 60 poster presentations this year!
