Responsibilities

Associate Medical Examiners are responsible for conducting postmortem examinations, interpreting testing results, determining cause and manner of death, and testifying in court.

Qualifications

Applicant must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, must have completed an Anatomic Pathology (AP, AP/CP, AP/NP) residency, and must have completed a Forensic Pathology fellowship. Applicants have three (3) years from dae of hire for successful completion of pathology board exams.

Compensation

$245,000 annually with full county benefits and Florida Retirement System.

Our office boasts a lively, friendly atmosphere. The successful applicant will join a team of 7 other forensic pathologists, 8 forensic investigators, 8 morgue technicians, and 6 administrative staff. Our office has a Lodox, ancillary testing capabilities, and quick turnaround times for toxicology. Work-from-home opportunities are available!
