Digital & Multimedia Sciences News—Annual Conference Updates

Source: Joseph Levi White, MS, Section Secretary

The Digital & Multimedia Sciences (DMS) Section would like to remind everyone that abstract submissions are due August 1, 2022. We are looking for abstracts to fulfill a session of presentations related to the 75th Anniversary of AAFS. This section of presentations would present the changes related to each of the DMS subdisciplines; for example, policies and procedures (standards) changes, mobile device forensics, computer forensics, audio forensics, video forensics, image analysis, etc. over the years. We would love to have as many disciplines as possible represented.

We are also looking for more case studies in the various disciplines, more scientific-based/research presentations, etc. for this year, as the theme is related to "Science Works."

The DMS Section is seeking volunteers from the section who are interested in reviewing abstracts for this year's Scientific Program. If you are interested, please email Levi White (joseph.l.white148.civ@army.mil) or Christina Malone (camalone@gmail.com).

We are also looking for volunteers who are interested in moderating a block of presentations during our Scientific Program currently scheduled for February 16–17, 2023. If you are interested, please email Levi White (joseph.l.white148.civ@army.mil) or Christina Malone (camalone@gmail.com).

For Associate Members and Members, serving as a moderator counts toward Academy promotional requirements. Please consider contributing to our section and the Academy by volunteering your time as a moderator. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Orlando in February!
