Texas A&M University Announces The Youth Adventure Program
Hosting Program: Texas A&M University, BS Forensic and Investigative Sciences
- The Youth Adventure Program encourages career exploration by allowing participants to choose a field of interest for a one-week course. YAP offers courses in almost every college at Texas A&M from architecture to investigative forensics.
Event:
- July 20-25, 2025 | Youth Adventure Program: Investigative Forensics (YAP C)
- True to the nature of the forensics fields, students will learn to use anthropological, biological, chemical, entomological, and mechanical procedures to analyze a crime scene and determine the nature and cause of a crime. Trace evidence collection techniques (dusting for prints, shoe tread and type, document analysis, forensic entomology, etc.) will be combined with advanced criminal techniques (blood spatter analysis, black light technology, etc.) to help students work on a realistic crime scene in which students must piece together all the evidence toward the goal of cracking the case!
