Updated AAFS Bylaws Now Available
An updated version of the AAFS Bylaws has been posted to the website HERE. The following amendment was approved by the voting members at the AAFS Annual Business Meeting (ABM) on February 21, 2024, and became effective at the conclusion of the ABM.
Article IV. OFFICERS AND MANAGEMENT
SECTION 8 – DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY: The Secretary, in conjunction with the Executive Director — serving as an appointed Assistant Secretary — shall be responsible for the official minutes of the Academy; shall give notice to the members of the time, place, and agenda of Academy meetings; shall ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements;and shall perform or supervise the execution of such additional tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall also serve as the Chair of the Membership Committee.
