Forensic Fellow Physician
Responsibilities
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office (TCME) is offering a one-year ACGME-accredited Forensic Pathology Fellowship from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The fellow will perform the primary functions of a forensic pathologist under supervision, including external examinations, autopsies, and evidence collection. Responsibilities also include preparing detailed reports, participating in death scene investigations, testifying in court, and engaging in forensic laboratory rotations. The fellow will gain exposure to a wide range of cases and complete at least 200 autopsies during the program.
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of a pathology residency
- Eligibility for a Physician-in-Training (PIT) medical license in Texas
- Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology
Compensation
- Annual Salary: $100,785.62
