Responsibilities

Jefferson County Sheriff ‘s Office is hiring multiple positions in DNA and Drug Chemistry. This is a brand-new lab located in Pevely, Missouri. The lab is approximately 30 minutes south of St. Louis. If you have an interest in working with a small team, working with the latest equipment and technology, and establishing new workflows, this is a great opportunity!

Qualifications

A baccalaureate or advanced degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science, or forensic science will be required. Applicants interested in DNA positions must have coursework as described by 2025 FBI QAS standards.

Forensic Scientist I $58,500-$79,000

Forensic Scientist II $65,340 - $87,500

Forensic Scientist III $82,000-$100,100

Forensic Lead Scientist/Assistant Director $100,500- $135,000
