2027 AAFS Criminalistics and Toxicology Joint Session
Drug-related investigations draw on the expertise and collaboration of multiple forensic disciplines, including scientists and investigators. Seized drug reporting regularly informs toxicological practice, and strong collaboration between the two fields ensures that practitioners stay informed on emerging drug trends. The scientific co-chairs for both the Criminalistics and Toxicology Sections invite individuals to submit abstracts on emerging trends identified through chemical analysis and method validation, ASB standards updates and development, testimony insights, analytical laboratory techniques, forensic laboratory automation, robotics for detecting drugs, clandestine drug manufacturing, and other topics that are complementary to both sections.
Abstract submitters are encouraged to submit to either section and indicate in the comment section whether they would like to be considered for the joint session.
