Rutherford County Government in Tennessee is actively recruiting for an experienced and visionary Forensic Pathologist for the Chief Medical Examiner position to lead the Office of the Medical Examiner at the new Regional Forensic Center (RFC), scheduled for completion in November 2026, in the city of Smyrna.

Qualifications

Licensed physician authorized to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee.
Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology.
Certified Forensic Pathologist.
Five (5) or more years of experience in medicolegal death investigations.
Valid Tennessee driver's license.
Ability to maintain required continuing education and professional certifications.

Compensation

Salary $300,000
