Investing in the Future of Forensic Science

During National Forensic Science Week, we recognize the professionals whose expertise and dedication advance forensic science and contribute to the pursuit of justice. 

One important way the forensic science community advances the field is through the Forensic Sciences Foundation (FSF). As the charitable arm of AAFS, the FSF awards more than $100,000 each year through grants, scholarships, and awards. 

These investments help students and professionals pursue research and thesis projects, support innovative work that expands the knowledge and capabilities of forensic science, and promote the application of contemporary forensic science and forensic medicine principles to global humanitarian and human rights projects requiring specialized forensic assistance. 

Every grant represents more than financial support — it is an investment in an individual, an idea, and work that can have a lasting impact on the forensic science community and the people it serves.
