The University of North Dakota's Forensic Science Program Announces A Forensic Science Bootcamp

The Forensic Science Bootcamp is an immersive weekend experiential-learning event designed to provide students with hands-on training outside the traditional classroom environment. Students engage in forensic science demonstrations, crime scene investigation techniques, evidence documentation, casting methods, and a mock crime scene exercise that allows them to apply forensic principles in a realistic setting. The bootcamp promotes teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional development while exposing students to career pathways in forensic science.

The event is conducted in collaboration with professionals from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, providing students with valuable interactions with forensic practitioners and insights into real-world investigative procedures. Students who successfully complete the training receive a certificate of completion recognizing their participation and acquired skills. The bootcamp serves as a high-impact educational experience that enhances student learning, workforce readiness, and engagement within the forensic science discipline.
