Updated AAFS Policy and Procedure Manual Now Available

An updated AAFS Policy and Procedure Manual has been posted to the website HERE. The Table of Contents is linked to the appropriate pages for easy navigation. The following updates were approved by the 2022–23 Board of Directors:

1.1.4. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Statement — See https://www.aafs.org/article/aafs-board-box-amendment-aafs-deia-statement.

2.1. Classes of Members and Affiliates — Addition of new status "Professional Affiliate."

2.2. Basic AAFS Membership Requirements — Addition of AAFS Basic Requirements for Professional Affiliate.

2.3.5. Forensic Nursing Science Section Membership Requirements — Addition of new section.

2.6.5. Forensic Nursing Science Section Promotion Requirements — Addition of new section.

7.1.2.B. Section Activities — Clarification that section chair and section secretary terms are one year and begin at the conclusion of the conference at which elected.

7.5.5. Forensic Nursing Science Section Policies and Procedures — Addition of new section.

In addition, the following sections approved and updated portions of the PPM pertaining to membership criteria of section operating policies: Anthropology; Criminalistics; Digital & Multimedia Sciences; General, Jurisprudence; and Toxicology.
