2027 J. Lawrence Angel Student Paper Award

Source: Rebecca Wilson-Taylor, PhD, Section Secretary

The J. Lawrence Angel Forensic Anthropology Student Paper Award competition has been an exciting part of the annual AAFS conferences since the first award was presented in 1988.

As approved and included in the AAFS Policy & Procedure Manual, only students who are matriculated in an anthropology program at the time of the paper submission are eligible for the competition. Please note that in cases of multiple authors, all authors must satisfy this requirement.  Students (including all co-authors of a paper) must hold membership in the Anthropology Section at the time the scientific presentation is given. Students who do not hold membership at the time of abstract submission must submit an application for membership concurrently with their abstract submission. Both podium and poster presentations are eligible for the award.
