AAFS Anthropology Section Commemorative “Mission Patch” to Support Section Reception

We are excited to announce the AAFS Anthropology Section Commemorative "Mission Patch" Fundraiser in support of our February 2027 Section Reception!

Our goal is to raise $4,500 after fundraising expenses to help cover the cost of beverages at the reception. If we meet our fundraising goal, we hope to provide one or two complimentary beverages per attendee. If we do not reach our goal, a cash bar will be available.

Any funds raised beyond our $4,500 goal, after expenses, will support the Anthropology Section Endowment and/or the 2028 Anthropology Section Reception.

Get Your Commemorative Mission Patch!

We have designed a special commemorative Mission Patch to celebrate our Section, and only 500 patches are available!

Patches are being distributed in appreciation of voluntary contributions to the fundraiser and are not being offered for individual retail sale.

Suggested donation amounts:

• $10 – Students
• $20 – Anthropology Section Members
• $25 – Reception Beverage Sponsors

All contributions, regardless of amount, will help us work toward our reception sponsorship goal!

Help Us Make the 2027 Reception a Success!

The Anthropology Section Reception is an opportunity for our members, students, and colleagues to connect, celebrate our discipline, and enjoy time together outside the scientific sessions.

By participating in this fundraiser, you will not only receive a commemorative patch but also help us create an enjoyable reception experience for our Section.

With only 500 patches available, we encourage you to submit your request early!

Thank you for your continued support of the AAFS Anthropology Section. We look forward to seeing everyone in February 2027!
