The Journal of Forensic Sciences (JFS) is pleased to announce a significant milestone: the receipt of 1,000 manuscript submissions as of this month — an all-time high! This achievement is a direct result of the JFS Leadership Team's ongoing dedication and commitment, and the Journal's increasing scientific recognition, which has contributed to this surge in submissions. Sincere gratitude is extended to all, especially the JFS Associate Editors and the JFS Managing Editor, whose hard work has been instrumental in this achievement.

I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage participants of the AAFS 2026 Annual Scientific Conference to consider submitting your research to JFS, the official publication of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). For detailed instructions, please refer to the JFS Information for Authors

JFS leadership is excited about this remarkable milestone, which underscores JFS's expanding influence in the forensic science community and the heightened interest from researchers globally. We are also enthusiastic about the scheduled enhancements for 2026 and look forward to unveiling these developments in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your continued support of JFS. For questions, please contact JFS Managing Editor Brenda Peat at bpeat@aafs.org
