Responsibilities

Provides technical oversight of the DNA Section and assists the DNA Supervisor in ensuring the quality of forensic services through standards, performance evaluation, and training.

Qualifications

Must possess an earned Master’s degree from an accredited academic institution in a biology, chemistry, or forensic science related area and shall have successfully completed 9 credit hours of coursework in biology- or chemistry- related areas that provide an understanding of the foundation of DNA analysis and statistics or population genetics. The required coursework shall include at least one graduate level course. Must have a minimum of three years of human DNA (current or previous) experience as a qualified analyst on forensic samples.

Compensation

The salary range is $72,362 - $115,779 depending on experience. The position includes a benefit package and work vehicle.
