Administrative management of all laboratory and support staff.
Managing the daily operations of the laboratory, including ordering of supplies and reagents.
Has authority, in conjunction with the Laboratory Director, for overseeing the hiring and firing of all personnel.
Oversight of facility maintenance.
Insuring that casework is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
Has the authority to assign laboratory casework and duties.
Available to review and approve case reports prior to their release.
Available to provide testimony as a court qualified expert.
Has the authority to speak directly to clients regarding their case processed at the laboratory.
Available to laboratory personnel as a resource for training, problem solving, and questions as needed.
Responsible for remaining up-to-date with current methods and procedures in order to advise the laboratory in that regard.

A Master’s degree (at a minimum) in biology, chemistry, forensic science, or a related area.
Successful completion of at least 12 credit hours (graduate or undergraduate) covering subject areas including biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, statistics, and statistics and/or population genetics.
Sufficient experience in Forensic DNA analysis to recognize possible errors in performance or interpretation, including a minimum of three (3) years of DNA analysis experience.

Salary range $85,000-$100,000
