Yes, this is an in-person conference. Some workshop content will be recorded and available on AAFS Connect after the conference.
While vaccination is encouraged, AAFS will not require proof of a negative PCR test or vaccination for the 2023 annual conference.

Yes. All speakers are required to register and pay the registration fee for the conference, with the exception of non-member speakers in workshops or special sessions.

Lost, misplaced, stolen, or forgotten badges will incur a replacement fee equal to the original purchase amount of your registration. If your badge was complimentary, the fee will be the current, on-site rate.
AAFS Members and Fellows may purchase a Spouse/Guest pass for $125. Other attendees will need to purchase a separate registration at the full price.
There is a $100 fee to apply for Continuing Education credits. Check the box when registering for the conference. You must complete the CE packet and return to the AAFS headquarters by the indicated deadline.
Any attendee requiring ADA Accommodations should make a written request for accommodations by emailing email@example.com. Requests should detail the necessary accommodations and for which presentations and/or sessions.

Posters may be posted beginning at 10:00 AM on the day of presentation. The author must be present to answer any questions during the hours of 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM in order to receive presentation credit. Posters must be taken down no later than 1:30 PM.
The best format for the presentation slides is 16.9 aspect ratio.
The official language of AAFS is English. The PowerPoint slides and audio should be in English.
Avoid using fonts that project poorly because the line width is too thin; use at least 24pt font size; avoid color combinations such as red and blue or yellow and green; limit the number of lines per slide in order to not crowd the frame; use simple graphs and illustrations with minimal captions
On Thursday evening, immediately following the Last Word Society Session, there will be an Academy-wide trivia night. Come share your knowledge of the Academy's 75 years of history.
Join us for the Academy's 75th Anniversary Celebration! The theme is tropical/island with a live band, food, drinks, dancing, and interaction with your fellow colleagues. Be sure to register to attend when registering for the conference. Fee is $35.
