Registration has opened for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences 75th Annual Scientific Conference! The Academy recognizes that many of you will be traveling internationally to attend and will need to acquire a visa to do so. We are happy to provide invitation letters for the 75th AAFS Conference detailing your intent to attend our event. Simply download this form, fill in the relevant details, and print the document to present to the consulate during your visa appointment.
For international attendees, in order to visit the United States, you may need to obtain a visa. We encourage you to contact your local Consulate or the Consular Section of your local United States Embassy if you need a visa and to determine the approximate time for the visa application process to be completed. The AAFS has no influence or control over the issuance of a visa.

The National Academies Board on International Scientific Organizations (BISO) operates the International Visitors Office, and they maintain a useful website with information about the visa issuance process: http://sites.nationalacademies.org/PGA/biso/visas/index.htm.
This Letter of Invitation is to be used for the purpose of securing a visa to attend the AAFS 75th Annual Scientific Conference. Attendees' registration, travel, lodging, and any other expenses incurred to attend this meeting will not be covered or waived by the AAFS. Please note that AAFS cannot guarantee or assist with the obtaining of any visas or other travel documentation required for entry into the United States.
