AAFS 2026—General Section Reminders
Moderators Needed
We are soliciting General Section membership for Moderators to help with our two General Section Scientific Sessions.
For those of you who need credit toward promotion from Associate Member to Member, we have an opportunity for you to serve as a Moderator for the 2026 AAFS Annual Scientific Conference to be held February 9-14, 2026, in New Orleans, LA.
This offer is not limited to Associate Members; many of our Members and Fellows enjoy moderating as well, and we would love to have your experience in New Orleans!
We have 32 spots available for those interested in a chance to moderate. We will have 16 moderators and 16 co-moderators. We need Moderators to serve a 1.25- to 2-hour block on Thursday, February 12, and Friday, February 13, 2026, during our scientific sessions. Moderating is easy, and don't forget, you can add it to your resume or CV!

AAFS Abstract Deadline — August 1
If you have not already submitted an abstract for the 2026 AAFS Annual Scientific Conference, the due date is coming up fast.
If in the past you have considered writing up your original research or putting some slides together on a unique or favorite case, this is the time to do it.
At our 2025 Baltimore Conference, the General Section had two scientific sessions totaling a remarkable 85 scientific papers as well as 30 poster presentations!
Let's knock this out of the park again in 2026! Please get your abstracts in for scientific sessions and poster sessions by August 1!
