FEPAC Announces Public Notification of Revised FEPAC Accreditation Standards

The mission of the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) is to maintain and enhance the quality of forensic science education through a formal evaluation and accreditation system for college-level academic programs that lead to a baccalaureate or graduate degree.

The Commission maintains a comprehensive, systematic, and ongoing standards review process to ensure that its Accreditation Standards remain appropriate for evaluating the education and training provided by accredited programs and are responsive to the needs of students.

As part of this process, the Commission recently reviewed standards identified over the past year as requiring additional clarification and took action to revise the FEPAC Accreditation Standards accordingly.

Because these revisions are editorial and clarifying in nature, they are being issued as a Public Notification rather than submitted for public comment.

After the thirty (30) -day public posting period, the revised standards will be incorporated into the published standards.
