March To $30,000 Endowment Fundraiser

Thanks to the donations received from our Anthropology Section members at all levels, we are just $6,557.87 away from reaching our $30,000 Anthropology Endowment goal. 

We are asking Anthropology Section members at any level to donate to the March to $30,000 Fundraiser by making a donation to the Anthropology Section through the AAFS Online Donation portal using this link: https://www.aafs.org/ways-give?form=Section-Donation or the QR code below by March 31, 2026. Reaching $30,000 allows us to move our endowment to a high yield account, which will hopefully allow us to pay for our section awards and scholarships for years to come without asking for additional donations.  

Any funds raised from this fundraiser beyond the $6,557.87 will be split between our endowment, the 2027 Reception, and the Anthropology Special Savings Fund. 

Donating is simple: Click the link, enter the donation amount, select "Anthropology" from the section drop-down menu, and include a DEDICATION that reads "ENDOWMENT." Follow the directions on the subsequent screens to complete your one-time donation. If you elect to cover the fee associated with the online donation, your donation amount will be modified to cover the cost of the online donation fee, and the section will receive the donation amount minus the transaction fee.  Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding this fundraising effort.
