Thanks to the Presenters and Attendees of the AAFS Conference
Thank you to all who attended 2026 AAFS Annual Scientific Conference! It was wonderful to spend time with old friends and meet new ones.
Special thanks to Khlea Sumani for being the Program Chair and arranging an excellent array of presentations. There were 32 presentations and 4 poster presentations accepted. This was the greatest number of presentations we have had in as many years as I can remember.
To all of you who gave a presentation, we are so grateful, for you made the program a success. We cannot do it without you, and I ask that every member consider giving a presentation next year, in Orlando, FL. Block out February 15-20, 2027, on your calendar now, so that you can attend.
The Abstract Submissions will open around May 21 and close August 1. Personally, I plan to follow up on the story of Paul Revere with "The Traveling Corpse of Dr. Joseph Warren." We need scientific presentations based on research projects, as that is how our science grows. However, we also learn from each and every case that we do, and your colleagues may find those lessons valuable as well.
Our section is in the good hands of Ray Miller (Academy Board of Directors Representative), Phyllis Ho (Odontology Section Chair), John Nase (Odontology Secretary), and Howard Cooper (Odontology Program Chair). I appreciate all they have done and their willingness to continue to do so, to make the next conference a success.
