Accessibility at AAFS 2026
We're passionate about designing events that feel safe, inclusive, and accessible to all. We want to create the best experience for everyone attending the AAFS Scientific Conference. The following information will help you plan your AAFS experience and answer any questions you may have about accessibility at our event.
Contact Us:
- Prior to the Conference: If you need accessibility assistance prior to the event, please contact us at meetings@aafs.org or 719-636-1100 x118.
- On-Site: Stop by the registration area or speak to any AAFS staff member (look for white AAFS badges)
Venue Information:
AAFS 2026 will take place at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center and the Hilton Riverside New Orleans. Both facilities comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. There are accessible elevators to all levels of the facilities as well as escalator access throughout the buildings.
Wheelchair Accessibility:
The Convention Center provides service ramps to entrances and elevated areas, automatic doors, an array of passenger elevators, and restroom facilities as well as braille instructions and directional signage at strategic locations throughout the building.
Mobility scooter rental is available at MCCNO at our UPS Store, located in Lobby F. We welcome and encourage our guests to make arrangements in advance: Mobility Scooter Reservation Form. Wheelchairs are also available upon request.
Additional information for guests with disabilities can be found at https://mccno.com/visitors/safety-accessibility/#disabilities.
Mothers' Rooms/Nursing Rooms:
Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center offers two nursing locations.
Nursing Mothers Rooms are located in both Lobby B and Lobby H. Additional accommodations can be made at the Medical Services Stations in Lobbies B, F, and H.
Children at AAFS:
Due to the nature of the content presented at AAFS, we require all participants within our conference areas to be 18 years of age or older at the time of the conference. We understand that there are unique situations requiring a parent or guardian to be traveling with children. If you have a concern or question about access and accommodation, please contact meetings@aafs.org or stop by the registration desk onsite to speak with a member of our Meetings team.
Accessible Hotel Rooms:
All conference hotels have accessible rooms available. Please make a note when booking your room or contact us at meetings@aafs.org for assistance in notating that on your booking.
Dietary Requests:
We make every effort to ensure our food functions accommodate all our attendees as much as possible. If you have specific dietary concerns or questions, please contact meetings@aafs.org or visit the registration desk to discuss this with a member of our Meetings team.
Restroom Facilities:
Family/all-gender restrooms are located in Lobby B, Lobby D, and Lobby H. You can view the map here for those locations.
Feedback:
We're doing our best to make continual improvements to the accessibility of our shows, and we welcome your feedback. If we're missing something or you would like to share ideas for improvements, contact us at: meetings@aafs.org.
